The Francaise Dinner!

Would you like to donate to our raffle and/or to our goody bags? If so, read on! As in past years, we will be holding a raffle to raise money to support this and future Francaise Dinners. Examples of donations from last year include period-appropriate jewelry and hair accessories, gift certificates to vendors frequented by historical costumers, fabric, and loose leaf tea. The raffle would not be possible without generous donations from attendees and small businesses. Furthermore, we also are also seeking donations for the goody bags given to each guest. Past donations have included coupons, ribbon, and product samples. This is a great opportunity for folks to promote their businesses to a large audience of historical costumers and reenactors. Edited to add: We are now sold out! Contact doug.schwer AT gmail DOT com to be added to the wait list. As of this writing, we only have 4 tickets left! These tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis, until they run out or until February 15, whichever comes first. (If you have contacted us about mailing in a check, we will hold your spot for 5 mail days to allow for it to arrive.) Once the remaining tickets sell out, we will open a wait list. No payment will be required for people to be put on the list. If another 12 people want to come, that will qualify us for a second room at the restaurant. This second room immediately adjoins our currently contracted room and has a connecting doorway. The dinner hostesses (Maggie, Stephanie, and Gloria) would be seated in this second room along with a number of other guests to ensure that both rooms are welcoming, entertaining spaces for all attendees. We are pleased to announce the date for the Fifth Annual Francaise Dinner! The event will be held on Saturday March 12, 2016 at Gadsby's Tavern Restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia. The dinner begins at 5:30 PM. Information about how to purchase tickets can be found here . Note that general ticket sales do not begin until January 15, 2016. Mark your calendars, and we hope to see you there!
