Hotel Options

For those coming into town, the DC area has a wide variety of hotels, and Historic Old Town Alexandria has walkable options currently showing rates around $200 per night for that weekend. A number of hotels at lower prices are within a short cab ride or Uber/Lyft.  These are competitive rates for the tourist hotspot that is Old Town Alexandria.  Cheaper options are available deeper into the suburbs.  Airbnb is not substantially more competitive in the immediate neighbourhood of Old Town, but it can provide some decent options a short cab ride away in the neighbourhoods of Huntington and Del Ray.

COVID has thrown many spanners in many works, but after two years, we are finally doing this!   Please join us on April 23, 2022, for the fanciest 18th century event of the season.  We are returning to Gadsby's Tavern in Alexandria, Virginia ! This year's ticket price is $65 and covers a three-course dinner , a champagne toast, and non-alcoholic beverages (soft drinks, iced tea, coffee). A cash bar will be available. Tickets will go on sale March 19, 2022. I must receive all money and special dietary information by April 15, which is one week before the dinner to ensure the restaurant can properly handle all of our needs, but you can change the names on your reservation even after that date.
